Merdeka Day

Today is the 49th celebration of the national day, cites are filled with flags and slogan “Keranamu Malaysia”.

However I have to admit that the celebration in KL isn’t as grand as before. Hard to see folks put flags on their cars and private shop houses around these days, I wonder what happened.

Anyway i know that’s not the only way to show our gratitude towards our country. But honestly, how many people among us will greet each other with “Happy Merdeka” when we see others? In most occasions, the reaction that you’ll get is an ignorance look on the face.

“Are you mad?!”

The office of Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL). Before the age of 12 i always thought that DBKL is the people who collect the garbage from my house yard.

I was wrong, they also do a lot of community work, such as

flag guessing competition?

Let me count, 22 floors with 10 flags hanging outside each floor, 220 flags!

Wait..

There’s more, 4 sides of the building also have flags! 220 multiply by 4 which make 880 flags!

Yay.. Happy Merdeka!
